EA Contracts to Bring Characters to TV, Film

Anyone should know by now that video game licensing possibilities are boundless:

Video game publisher Electronic Arts, Inc. said Wednesday it has signed with United Talent Agency, Inc. to explore ways to turn game titles into television shows and movies. . . . EA did not provide financial details, but said UTA will assist with such projects as an animated TV series based on the popular MySims game.

Results, however, may vary. Romantic drama with FIFA stars, à la The Love Boat? Army of Two, the laugh-a-minute sitcom?
